Our Team

Our Therapists

All of our therapists hold Master’s Degrees and are speech-language pathologists licensed to practice in Texas. Each one is:

  • Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC – Certificate of Clinical Competence),
  • Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
  • A member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Kathy Webster, owner and director of Connections Speech-Language Therapy, earned a Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from University of Memphis. She completed 30 hours of post-graduate work at Trinity University in the field of Education Leadership. She has more than 30 years of experience in working with children who have communication disorders. She is:

Kathy’s experience with children is not limited to the professional work environment. She is the mother of two children who attended Boerne I.S.D. schools. She has been active in the community and at First Baptist Church-Boerne, where she taught in the Children’s Sunday School Department for many years. She has also served as a Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Leader, and served on the Boy Scouts of America Troop 18 Committee for several years. She volunteers at the Meadowlands campus of Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, serves the community through the Boerne Lions Club, and mentors young women who are pursuing a career as speech-language pathologists.

Ann-Mc-DonaldAnn McDonald earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She has over 30 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist treating children. Ann has worked in public elementary schools, preschools, and early intervention programs. She joined the Connections team in 2009. Ann has particular expertise with childhood fluency disorders (stuttering and cluttering), apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, and oral-motor problems. Ann is married and the mother of two grown children. She is active in her church and volunteers with Meals on Wheels in the Helotes area.

Loren GLoren-Granstaffranstaff is a graduate of Baylor University’s outstanding program for speech-language pathologists. She has a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and experience working for the Methodist Hospital system in San Antonio. She joined the Connections team in 2011. She especially enjoys working with children who have articulation delays and disorders or receptive-expressive language disorders. Loren is the mother of three children adopted out of foster care. She is active in her church and community and serves as a teacher in Boerne’s Bible Study Fellowship program.

michelle-kolarMichelle Kolar, MA, CCC-SLP is a state licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist with 20 years experience.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Texas State University and a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Our Lady of the Lake University.  She has practiced in the following settings: rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospitals, residential facilities, and the public school system.  She was most recently the Lead Speech-Language Pathologist for a large school district in San Antonio, TX.  Michelle enjoys traveling with her husband, Robert and their teenage daughter, Erin.  She is a professionally trained vocalist and is a cantor for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Leon Springs.  She is thrilled to bring her experience and passion for pediatric speech-language pathology to Connections.

Support Staff

EvelynEvelyn Shoemake Administrative Assistant, joined the Connections team in 2015. She works in the office Monday thru Friday in the mornings. Evelyn maintains the office calendar and can help with making and changing appointments. She keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently. Do not hesitate to leave important questions and messages with Evelyn. She keeps personal information confidential and can route your message to the appropriate person.
